What is S.A.D?
A person with social anxiety disorder feels like they are being watched or judged by others. Embarrassment is a fear that someone with social anxiety disorder deals with on a regular basis. The anticipation of a social event is often worse than the actual event. Heart races, palms sweat, heat rushes through their body… all in anticipation of an event. It may be an everyday situation that many people take for granted like going to school, the grocery store or taking a walk down a sidewalk.
